  • Summary:

    • ‘Closet Moments’ are experiences shared by individuals from the Black, LGBTQ+ community through therapeutic outlets, to show others that they're not alone in their own life journey.

    • Our open call for the 2024 set of anthology stories is now accepting submissions from Black Queer people about their experiences living, learning, and loving within community.

    Questionnaire Length:

  • Summary:

    • ‘The Table’ serves as a reporting outlet to highlight culturally competent resources and accomplishments throughout the Black, LGBTQ+ community by celebrating culture and amplifying the voices of its members.

    • Our open call invitation for the 2024 set of interviews welcomes creatives and artists at all stages of their journey, to join us at The Table to celebrate their accomplishments.

  • Summary:

    • The ‘Closet Unlocked Theater (CUT) in Blaque’ is a space where communities can unite in unison, love, and support to showcase Black Queer talent and enjoy entertainment from various artists across the African diaspora.

    • Our open call is seeking writers to contribute to our 2024 set of artist features to include in our curated playlist series.

    Style Preference:

    • 3-4 paragraphs; 200-300 word count

    • At least 5 references/sources

    What To Include:

    • Attention-grabbing introduction, brief background of artist’s personal & professional life, highlights of their accomplishments, and their influence on Queer culture.

  • Summary:

    • ‘Garden of Greats’ spotlights editorial representations of the answers we find to the question: What story do you want to tell about a Black Queer, Trans, and/or Nonbinary community member(s) to pay tribute to them?

    • Our open call for the 2024 cycle is seeking submissions that creatively document history of Black Queer trailblazers through reoccurring tributes to teach others about the collective impact being left for and by our community.

    Style Preference:

    • 1-2 paragraphs; 75-125 word count

    • Or visual art up to 5 minutes in length

    • At least 5 references/sources

    What To Include:

    • Attention-grabbing introduction, brief summary of historical figures impact on life and culture highlighting 5 riveting facts.
